“PERSON”ALIZED ACCESSORIES
Given her background in art history, CC was quite taken with Christian Dior’s figural sandals, necklaces and earrings . . .
Dior's arty statement pumps, collars, and chandeliers resemble fertility idols, like this Cycladic figurine from the Stone Age in Greece, circa 2500 B.C.
Apart from being historically referential end exceedingly creative, these accents have other assets to which we non-models can relate... curves!

Love the Ed Hardy shoes! If it's okay with you, I may have to feature them in a future blog post. I'll give you due credit and link back, of course. :)
I'm definitely not a fan of the cartoon clothing. But, oh well - the good thing about fashion is that it comes and goes and nothing ever stays around forever.
Have I mentioned lately how awesome your blog is? It's obvious that you put a lot of time and effort into it and I love it!
I really like this look. its trendy, but definitely eye-catching. I like the looks that leans toward art inspiration.
hhmm.. not really a fan of this trend, but i can see the appeal for some people
Great pics!
I´m impressed that you found them all :)

Do you remember the classic: Bella's Freudian slip dress (with her grandfather's face on the fabric)?
I like how many of these looks manage to have a classic, rather than a novelty, vibe . . .
nutter fabuoous post cc!
;)
i love the heel detail in that one picture, and gwyneth paltrow's dress is really cool too. i didn't notice the face in that dress at first.
I don't want my clothing anthropomorphized. I think this trend is a little too young for this weasel.
I'm not really a great fan of the cartoon clothing, but I just loved the pics...
i dunno if i can hop on this bandwagon. i'm not very keen about large faces on my clothes. oh well...good thing there's other trends from the shows i can follow! :)
I don´t like this trend. I find grose havin a face which is not mine´s on my breast!!!!1
So great Rachel as usual!!!
Im waiting for the godess hair do´s!!!!!
I love the cartoon clothing. Its fun fresh and so young. Its summer, baby, be lively. :)x
Amazingly, I have a T dress with a woman's face on it. Never thought I'd buy such a thing, but there you go! (Not my front and centre fave trend, but I wouldn't dismiss it.)
I like quite a few of these.
Those Dior sandals are exquisite! I'm not a fan of much of the clothing though, too busy for my taste.
oh aaamazing! i love your blog! the just cavalli dress is awesome.

You gave me an idea now. This post will be linked.... this is going to be amusing.. well just a little bit.
wowow i never even realized this was everywhere! i like the mixture of art and fashion :)
I think this trend is tons of fun, what i like about it Carrie is the varying types of inspiration. From Art,to cartoons to all in between. Those dior shoe heels, earrings and necklace remind me of fertility dolls!
I think we will be seeing so much of this trend.

Hi CC!
Thanks for your comment!
Ahh I love iconography... I really wanna have that Kate Moss necklace by... Alex & Chloe, I think it is.
I love the dress from Lanvin summer 07. I especially love t-shirts with photos of iconic people on them.
Wow, you really have a great background in art history.
xoxo! Cate
Anthropomorphic iconography ... can be really hip, but sometimes I think it just looks tacky. >_< I like it better in cartoon or animated like form (vs. real silk screened photos, or what not), but even then... oh but I have seen this trend done really well, I just remembered seeing a girl who had a Justice League t-shirts (like from the comics) and it was to die for! :D
xoxo,
S-C
now that's a hot trend! i love the alexander mcqueen dress...
S is in agreement fully with CC - that Tuleh look is perfectly amazing!
I like the more subtle pieces, and how this trend has evolved.

Seriously those Dior shoes are so funny, it looks like a pregnant woman on the heel!
omg are those SHOES for real??????? who is the designer? i need to get those like NOW!
I noticed that a lot in some of the spring collections, I think it's a lot of fun! :D
This trend is so fun! Sometimes it gets a little creepy, but I loved your choices :)
