yes lumberjack is still chic! it has to be, since i'm still coveting the print. i don't own any lumberjack pieces but i am so in love with that jillian lewis plaid short sleeve armour jacket. the tailoring is so amazing! you could wear it with a skirt or with jeans (they would probably have to be slim fitting though) and look amazing.
and thank you so much for your comment CC! it really means a lot to me. :D
This is by ar my most loved Fall trend. I love the ay a red plaid top looks with black skinny jeans. So I guess it really is chic.
ith the Fall shows coming soon, I guess it on't be for long. I think it's more od a Fall trend. It usually doesn't look good in winter. <3
in my eyes, lumberjack is still completely chic. all of these options make me squirm cus i want each and every single one!
Plaid is def. fashionable. I just wouldn't rock a plaid shirt with jean overalls because that's just too much for me.
YESSSS!!:)
That Oscar de la Renta jacket is so perfect!
I love the celeb pictures you picked. I think lumberjack is still chic and even if not, I like to wear it! I have an old lumberjack's jacket which I love to wear, it's just so cosy. I got it over eBay some years ago because I'm really into NIRVANA (the band) and grunge, and the lumberjack's shirt is one of the trademark grunge clothes. I love that 'Twiggy' plaid coat.
xoxo

ah. i need plaid to stay warm!
the part of it being chic is just a bonus.
growing up in canada i've always worn it!!!
i love its easy access and plethora of patterns and styles now!
x.
plaid + skinny jeans + ankle boots = overdone
but
I still love, love, love it!
Guess so..I like the way it looks on Elle, but it's not for me. Reminds me too much of when I was in high school and everybody listened to Nirvana.
tres chic CC. a gal can run around town with comfort and style.
Oh yes it's one of the trends I'm most into.
And I think it will last for winter
xoxo
Of course, darling!
I feel like I've been missing sooo much CC, becouse few last posts are ... PERFECT! :)

Yes! I love it. It is a bit of a throwback to early-90's grunge, except that the tailoring of the flannels featured here is infinitely better. One note: you must look bathed to pull it off now - the homeless look is *not* chic! Sweety P is correct...overalls of any fabric should be burned. They might be the least fabulous item of clothing ever invented.
Yep! I love it in colours such as purple, blue, black, white, pink... and in the Burberyy Prorsum S/S 09 campaign there are plaid shirts!! so yes, it's chic and it will be trendy next year too ^^
Byee
xx
i'm obsessed with plaid lately! i wore it to our holiday party & i've been rocking shirts with jeans or leggings a la the olsen twins.
xoxo
tres tres chic!
yes plaids are definitly back
Lumberjack is hot! Love this selection of photos x
oh... my blog entry today was a little bit about plaid... :D
I like it!!!
Elle MacPherson looks so fierce! I love it.
oh why is M-K always so freaking adorable. i want her entire insane wardrobe.
btw, War and Peace is wonderful. the many many pages fly by...

Zang Toi had some great tartan that I had my eye on. I can't stand casual button-down plaid shirts though. I lived through that look several times already.
Hehe I love a bit of lumberjack style. Especially for winter!
plaid ruuuuuules.
of course!
i love lumberjack plaids <3
you've been awarded <3
It better still be chic, because I'm still lusting over it and have yet to actually invest in a good buffalo plaid piece.
Also wanted to tell you THANKS because I found some really great blogs in your link section!
I really like the look of it. I don't have any in my closet but every time I find a lumberjack shirt by Ralph Lauren for men I snap it up for my Woozle. I think he looks sexy in lumberjack, even sexier than the Brawny guy.;-)
I've actually been thinking of getting a lumberjack shirt but have been trying to figure out whether it's on its way out or not...
wow I've never look at lumberjack fashion like that. great post. one of my faves.
Elle MacPherson looks cool. I could try her look not Olson's. I just can't do any Olson style..
oh yea.. it sure is... Hey missed ya while I was on vacate... = )
The last dress is awesome!!!
I'm not really into this trend, but I like it. And the Olsen girls really rock it.
It seems you are really into checked fabrics this time!
Elle looks amazing in that picture. I still wear them, they are good when it is so cold.
FAntastic! I love tartan print!
good post :b
I love plaid clothes,
MK outfits are really good!
xo
that first photo to the left is my favorite! :]
xoxo,
La C.
Wonderful selection!
Some beautiful pieces!
Thanks for this.
xx.
I love love love lumberjack and plaid — Still chic for sure!
am so in love with plaid this season. need more in my closet.
im going nuts for the houndstooth and wool jacket!
my theory on this trend: if the economy continues to decline, we will see this everywhere ~ ala, the early 90's ...again, when the economy was in the shitter.
plaids/lumberjack/tartan/checks whatever you wish to call it, would seldom look dated, pick a plaid shirt from the vintage store and it looks like any other piece from a high street brand!
i say yes to plaids!
thank God, yes! lovely pieces!
i'm all for ir too!!!
Hey CC!
How awesome, I didn't see this until you pointed it out but it's really, really cool, I feel so honoured to be up there with the likes of MK!!
Great compilation of one of my absolute FAVOURITE trends, as always :)
