CC i adore backless tops, and dresses. i always regreted walking away from a backless marc jacob dress a few years ago.
I heard a lecture about the psychology of clothing and according to this guy( big academic) the back of our clothing is representational of the unconscious. If that is true these gals have a transparent unconscious. I find a revealing back to be more sexy than a revealing front. But I am not a guy.;-)

i love the cut of each dress, flirty and trendy. I have bought a Vuitton dress last week and can't wait to use it to a next party, it is the same cute, seems to be a trend now to have not the classic dress quite elegant but old version.

I love this trend after seeing Tanya's dress at Versace Fall 08.
My heart stopped when I saw those backless runway pics. Its usually hard to find pictures of the backs of dresses, so I was just exstatic.
I don't think you can go wrong with backless. Unless the dress is tacky in the first place. But, that;s another issue...
