Awesome Amalgamation

Proliferation, repetition and combination are the names of the game, darlings! More is more, as they say [poor Ludwig Mies van de Rohe would be rolling over in his grave if he knew how often his quip is butchered!].
Spring 2009 is the time to experiment with ruffles, embellishment, and multiple accessories in adventurous shades and shapes. First picture from teenvogue.com. Runway photos courtesy style.com.

Roberto Cavalli black crystal-embellished dress
Miu Miu magenta zip-front bustier dress
Fendi twill bow jacket, at eLuxury.com.
Eun Jong embellished silk waistcoat, at net-a-porter.com.
Consider layering several necklaces!
Lanvin metal flower necklace; this and next 2 at net-a-porter.com
Tom Binns pearl and safety pin necklace – we can sooooo DIY this!
ACB sparkle fringe necklace. Don a whole pile of long chains this spring, darlings!
Matthew Williamson mosaic print bangle; this and next at net-a-porter.com.
Matthew Williamson Erin patchwork skirt.
So pile on the bangles, baubles, and bows, darlings; dabble in patterns and patchwork – anything goes! Amalgamation is tres chic, as demonstrated in this photo by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for W.

I love the Dior and Lacroix shots. For Lacroix, more has been more from the beginning (but in a low key style compared to what we see now in the fashion shows).

Overaccessorising? Hell yes, CC :)

I adore garnishing simple outfits with that extra something...it gives your outfit the oomph factor!

And that Roberto Cavalli layered dress....whoa! Nice!

How was the luau themed party by the way? Will we get to see pics? Please pretty please? :D

Hope your weekend is going swell.

You should be a fashion journalist, CC. VOGUE and ELLE could use your talent to spot these trends and document them.

btw, I love that pic of Natalia Vodianova on your header!

How are you doing?
