Get your sea legs, darlings, because nautically inspired fashions are coming in waves! Think chic stripes, patriotic tones, rope detailing, and sailor silhouettes. Hint: Err on the side of glamour and ladylike elegance rather than cutesy kitsch.

Not a big fan of this trend ( or the colors, it makes too much France's flag xD )... but I love some photos... like Anna and her nautique-lingerie, or the house... amazing !
Never get sick...SEA sick of nautically inspired fashion...still so clean & fresh!
Thank you CC!
I love nautical style. I have red-white striped huge handbag and some nautical blue, white and red things... And and sailor accesories and jewellery...
Great post!
Have a great day and xoxo: Janet
oo i love nautical themed prints! yay!
Love this trend, it's perennially crisp and simultaneously squeaky clean with a hint of cheekiness. That shell house is crazy lol, but I would totally wear that Stella dress - a totally mellow take on the nautical trend.
ah how darling. i do like nautical theme styles, esp wide horizontal strip prints.
I will take those white Prada shoes! I have never been a fan of this trend, so I prefer the colors seperately.
i do not believe nautical ever goes out of style! loves it.
The shell house made me grin ear-to-ear. So whimsical!
what delish post! that sheel house in Mexico is amazing. I want to move and live there CC!!
also this trend is a classic.its so riviera chic,so jane birkin. Love Stella Mccartney's interpretation of it through the conch dress,so its nautical but not in an obvious way.

I love the nautical theme - and you're right, it is so important to dress more elegantly than to be kitschy! :)
I am obsessing over that DVF sailboat print sheath, and the bathing suit with the sailboats is just adorable!

Nautical is such a classic. And so chic!
It's so funny, the nautical look comes back every spring, without fail. But it is a classic! I love the whites and knotted, thick ropes that are incorporated into styles.
Nautical is so spring... I think it will be always a trend.
xoxo
I love the blue/white and red/white stripes combination, even if they are too classic for others, is a sure bet for the nautical look.
Feliz año!!!
Cast the lines! Raise the sails! Dramine taken! Cute nautical outfits! Let's hit the sea!
I love the Moschino scribble shoes.
Sooo classic!

I love the printed dresses! So pretty.
I love nautical inspiration. I wanted a sailor dress so much last summer. The See by Chloe top is perfect.
Great post! Lovin the D&G sparkley tank and the Stella McCartney sailboat dress!
I love the nautica look but I have never tried to pull it off. I can't do tiny blue and white stripes or the sailor thing but I love it when girls can!

that shell house is THE SHIT
You will not believe this, but I actually passed by that same house years ago!
I used to go to Mexico often because of my Dad (airplane pilot), and we once went scuba diving in Isla Mujeres and then we drove around the island in a golf caddy and took pictures of THAT SAME HOUSE for my aunt who's an architect.
Gosh, what a coincidence!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
luv luv luv!
Oooh I love that intarsia sweater and stripy belt, where is the belt from? Would be a great add to my nautical collection of anchors etc.
What a site for wide eyes! I just sort of stumbled on it. I was wondering if you have any info on the shell house you have on here, never seen anything like it, and as it happens i'm writing a paper on surrealism, fashion and shells...any info greatly appreciated. thanks for such a contribution to the art form that is fashion.
natalie
Hi Natalie! Thanks for your comment! Fashion is totally wrapped up with shells right now! Just check out the recent Dolce & Gabbana and Stella McCartney collections...
I don't know much about the Shell House other than its locale, in Isal Mujeres, Mexico. You might search Architectural Digest online!
