Trendspotting: Statement Earrings

For Spring, chunky necklaces take a back seat to spectacular earrings, either oversize or intricately wrought. Think hoops big enough to be bracelets and chandeliers the likes of which we haven’t seen since the late 90s!

Love it! You don't have anything else of jewelry, if you have statement earrings! More than everything, I like to have some big, coctail ring and some amazing watch, but earrings are some specialy. Giles & Brother, Iosselliani Cluster and Stella McCartney are 'must - have'!

Great post, darling.

hey CC, I do love earings. I used to wear huge gold hoops and sport that whole look but they totally hurt my ears and it was one of those things where I with stand the pain until I couldn't take it any longer and then I stopped wearing earings completely. Now I am not even sure that I have holes in my ears! I think that sometimes people get carried away with the large oversized earings but these looks are adorable.

I love huge earrings on someone else, lol! I wouldn't wear them because I'm not bold, but they look great on the runway!

^^For me, big earrings never went away!

I love statement earrings but it's a shame when they are too heavy for your ears...my sister ended up having to re-pierce her ears after much heavy earring wearing!

I can't wear earings! :-( It makes me so sad 'cause some of these are so beautiful!
You do such a great job finding all these images.

GORGEOUS! I love the sketched ones, as well as the fine Dior pair.

My favourite would be the amethyst ones. They are to DIE for! I have just the dress to wear them with too!

I'm a huge fan of big earrings - I think they're so fun and they can dress up any outfit!
Kate Beckinsale wore these gorgeous earrings at the Golden Globes - kind of reminded me of some of these :)

i love them, but they are definitely not for clubbing/ dancing they can be dangerous. this girl at the club had them on and it flung right off her ear hitting an unexpected fellow dancer on the face. true story!

I love them all!! BUT...my absolute favorite statement earrings are these - $10 beauties.

They can't be worn with every outfit..that's for sure. But when the time is right, they bring a million compliments.
