CC loves Kathy Kovel Designs!

My friend since high school, Kathy Kovel is an incredible artist and bakery co-op owner living and working in Oakland, CA. Ms. Kovel's fabulous creations are currently sold at Gallery of Jewels on Fillmore Street in San Francisco. Here's a quick bio and a picture of some of her recent work.

Kathy Kovel learned basic jewelry techniques as a teenager in her home town of West Hartford, Connecticut. She pursued her career in metal arts studying with Master Tim McCreight at Maine College. After graduating, she began working as a bench jeweler at two high-end jewelry galleries. Working in precious metals and semi-precious stones, she produces unique work that shows her enthusiam for intricate and ornate small scale design.
