One poem: Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Tagged by the lovely Miss Yaya of I Will Be My Own Judge to state 10 Honest Things About CC:
1) I have four siblings but I am only close with two of them.
2) My favorite foods are bacon and avocados. Fortunately they go well together! (Throw them on a burger with cheese and CC is in heaven – photo via epicurious.com.)
3) I only own one piece of actual couture: a Richard Tyler Couture suit.
4) I am a total Gossip Girl addict.
5) I battle constantly to keep my weight down; otherwise it hurts too much to run… Ironic, isn’t it?
6) Since I have had several careers, it is always interesting to see how my acquaintances “label” me – lawyer, teacher, Pilates & Yoga instructor, writer, blogger, fashionista…
7) Watching reruns of Family Guy while flipping through the glossies is my preferred way to spend my leisure time!
8) I cannot have enough fabulous lingerie. At left, a Numero editorial from September 2008.
9) It is one of CC’s “bloggoals” to have 1000+ followers… Any tips on how to get more Fellow Fashionistas on board would be greatly appreciated!

ReplyDeleteWith respect to the Victoria's Secret sailboat bikini (I swear I am not on the take!), if you have had your eye on it, you HAVE to get it before it sells out; also, VS is having an online deal that you get 40% additional off any clearance item.
A note about the sizing - I got a size Small bottom and it's rather big, more like a Medium. So I guess the bottoms are running large. The top is true to size.

i love layering. i need to get myself a bustier top. i can't wait for the rag & bone collection to come out.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised you didn't throw in Miuccia's wool shorts over a cardigan at Prada! Quite unpractical, but layering nonetheless. I think Marni ALWAYS does a fabulous job for fall: eccentric and beautifully layered textures.
ReplyDeleteP.S. There is nothing wrong with wanting to subscribe to Details or GQ! More women need to get on the Mens magazines :)

I think the Juan Carlos Obando gown and jacket combo is brilliant...I love the color, proportions and mix of texture. I also love the Lacroix look and the Tracy reese look is amazing. The idea of layering accessories is sensational. The Dennis Basso gloves are so stunning!

ReplyDeleteAnd, by the way, vvvery interesting interview..
Nice pics, also.
LoL
This was interesting! It's fun to learn some little facts about CC... I, too, wanted to be a novelist... still wouldn't turn it down if the chance came along! :~) ALSO, my favorite look is the tube dress over a long sleeved shirt, I never thought about layering in that way but it's a perfect way to get to wear some of my fancier dresses that I love but to be warm and even make them a bit more casual and out-and-about looking. I also like the double-vest though I wonder if it would look as fantastic in real life on someone such as myself as it does in fashion fantasy-land on that model...
ReplyDeletethanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI adore these looks...just fabulous!
I love layering, and this gave me a lot of ideas for spring! Lately I've been layering cardigans over each other and cardigans over vests, both with amazing results!
ReplyDeleteLove layering and these are great inspiration!! Thanks CC
ReplyDeleteAnd nice games
