Canyon Beachwear, which opened its first shop in Santa Monica in 1979, understands that swimsuits can be a very big deal. Now in our third decade, we have the experience, selection, customer service and prestige to be recognized year after year by prominent fashion publications like Vogue, Sports Illustrated, Women’s Wear Daily, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, Allure, InStyle, and Los Angeles Magazine.
We have the largest year-round selection of ladies’ designer swimwear and resort wear, with pieces from over 50 manufacturers. On-trend, we consistently provide unique, fashionable styles from the most current swimwear lines. While our inventory is top-notch, it is our dedicated customer service that sets us apart! Shopping for swimwear can be difficult and traumatic.
Our motto, “We Suit Every Body,” is more than just a slogan... it’s truly the cornerstone of our company. Our knowledgeable fit experts understand that every body is different, and can provide personal attention armed with our large selection of swimwear options for every physique, including mix-and-match separates and suits that fit large cup sizes. From its humble roots as that single store alongside the Pacific Coast Highway, Canyon Beachwear has grown to seven locations throughout California and New York, helmed by President Kathleen Egan Mudd – who started as a shopgirl in the original store during high school – and CEO William H. Mudd. In 1988, newlyweds Kathleen and William purchased the company from its founders. Merging William’s business acumen with Kathleen’s fashion expertise, Canyon Beachwear has since become the swimwear destination for the upscale, fashion-oriented and hard-to-fit woman.
