Yves Klein Blue

Darlings, CC's inspiration for today's post was twofold. First, CC peeped the proliferation of royal blue pieces for SS '26 and was reminded of seminal modern artist Yves Klein: "In 1960, he patented the formula for an intense ultramarine blue that he named International Klein Blue. Instantly recognisable and famously used in his Anthropometries, IKB became the artist’s signature—both a hallmark of his practice and a symbol of immateriality and the infinite." Secondly, with the recent release of The Devil Wears Prada 2, CC couldn't help but recall Miranda Priestly schooling Andy in the first film about her jumper: "Your cerulean sweater represents millions of dollars and countless jobs, selected for you by the fashion industry."
