Architectural Inspiration: Magnificent Monochrome

Darlings, CC adores this monochromatic space, so much so that it inspired a look! Note the color palette... camel, taupe, taos, nude, cognac, etc...

Santa Fe house pictured via Architectural Digest.

Rachel Pally Babe dress in Taos; this and next at shopbop.com. CC has and adores! Rachel Pally's knits are the ultimate in comfort and body-clinging chic.

Elizabeth and James Lizzy suede cuff booties in Cognac, or...

Camilla Skovgaard leather and rubber pumps in Taupe; this and next at net-a-porter.com. CC is so crazy about Camilla Skovgaard... those lug soles are the perfect counterpoint to the feminine shape of the shoe!

Maison Martin Margiela crinkle-effect brass ring in Gold.

Adrienne Landau fur loop scarf in Natural; this and next at shopbop.com.

Diane von Furstenberg Marlene evening bag in Red Orange. CC loves a pop of color in a handbag!

Alexander McQueen collarless cashmere coat in Camel.

Tell CC, darlings, how do you feel about this space and the look derived from it?

Which shoes would you wear with this outfit?

xoxox,

CC

P.S. Do you have an inspirational space to show CC? Feel free to email it to carriecalligraphy@gmail.com. I would love to construct a look based on your interior!

P.P.S. Check out CC's guest post on The Embellished Life!

I have yet to find the right type of nude colour that works with my skin. I wanted to buy a camel coloured cashmere coat, but it totally washed my skin out!

Oh my - those Elizabeth and James booties are perfect.

The sole on those shoes is amazing. What a great idea. It is similar to the idea that the new Desgn Star (if you watch HGTV?) has, but flipped! She looks at people's clothes and creates interior spaces for them. It's a great idea CC!

Ooh, CC - I think this may be my favorite Architectural Inspiration post of yours yet. I adore the color scheme; and the way you even managed to pick up the colors of the setting sun outside via the Diane von Furstenberg Marlene Evening Bag in Red Orange. Gorgeous!

I think I'd wear the Camilla nude pumps myself. :)
