CC's Summer Loves...

Darlings, it's nearly summertime, so CC thought she'd share some of her summer loves with you!

Barre... so amazing for sculpting hips, glutes and thighs. Getting that body bikini ready, darlings!

Also, sometimes it's too hot to run outside (another of CC's preferred forms of exercise), so it's nice to be able to take in some AC and get a wonderful workout. CC is teaching barre now, too :)

CC Loves... NYC!

Darlings, as you may already know, CC lived on the Upper West Side of Manhattan for six years.  Having moved back to the 'burbs of Connecticut a few years ago, there are a number of things that CC truly misses about NYC.  Here are a few of CC's favorite New York City attractions, etc.  Enjoy!

Black and white cookies.

Dollar stores where things actually cost just a dollar.

Fabulous affordable fresh cut flowers at every bodega in town... CC misses her weekly tulip bouquet!

Henri Bendel and Bergdorf Goodman ~ one of a kind stores on Fifth Avenue.

CC actually worked at Bergdorf's for a short time about ten years ago!

CC's tailor, located in a tiny fluff and fold on 96th and Broadway... 

There's nothing like having affordable, custom clothes at your fingertips, darlings!

Phenomenal bars and restaurants on every corner. 

Pastis in the meatpacking district is a CC fave for steak frites and dirty martinis.

Reebok Sports Club, where there is a rooftop terrace and an outdoor track, among other luxe amenities.

Sunbathing, running, free concerts and picnicking in Central Park.

Tasti D Lite, the most delicious fro yo around~ CC was completely addicted to the peanut butter flavor ;)

The Barney's New York Warehouse Sale, which happens twice a year at the Barneys Co-op location on 17th Street...  CC once found a Balmain dress for 90% off!

The best take-out and delivery in the world, 24 hours a day. CC particularly misses Saigon Grill.

Zabar's - especially the olive bar, the amazing cheese shop and the home goods shop on the mezzanine.

CC's "Vices"!

Darlings, CC thought she'd share with you some of her "weaknesses"... call them vices, obsessions, soft spots, what have you!  When CC wants to splurge, either calorie-wise or $-wise, these are her go-to items.  Hope you enjoy this decadent and delicious post!

Do you have a favorite road-tripping snack?

Vodka martinis, ideally Grey Goose with blue cheese stuffed olives.

What's your signature cocktail?

Steak frites: preferably rare filet mignon with a side truffle fries!

What's your favorite dinner food?

Girl's nights!  That's CC in the middle with pals Mandi (left) and Erika (right) last week at Simsbury, CT tavern Abigail's.  We enjoyed copious cocktails, a raw seafood tower, and duck quesadillas... Yummy!

Where do you like to go with your gal pals for drinks?

Expensive shoes.  

CC is particularly proud of thes Raphael Young panther printed ankle boots from theOutnet.com.  

Who is your favorite shoe designer?

Glam gloves, especially fingerless ones.  These tuxedo gloves that CC owns are by Gaspar Gloves.

Which accessories do you splurge on?

Haute Hats.  CC adores this Eugenia Kim pink feather straw hat from intermixonline.com, 

but the majority of CC's magnificent millinery is for the fall/winter season.

Are you a hat person?

Statement rings. 

CC has this silver two finger ring by Erica Anenberg and absolutely loves it!

What kind of jewelry are you most likely to spend your hard-earned dollars on?

Luxe lingerie.  CC has this lovely silk corset cami and the matching panties by Elle Macpherson Intimates.

Where do you buy your sexy underthings, darlings?

Skinny jeans! 

CC has a pair in every color of the rainbow except for orange (a "problem" soon to be remedied!)

Which wardrobe staple are you most likely to stockpile?

Designer dresses.

Bikinis.

Do you "collect" a particular item of clothing?

Beach vacations... CC is a self-professed sun worshipper!

What is your favorite holiday escape?

Nail polish.

CC has amassed a ridiculous number of lacquers by favorite brands Essie, Butter London, and Zoya.

1) I can whistle through my teeth. I call it "stealth whistling".

2) I was a gymnast until I got too tall. I can still do a back walkover.

3) I am addicted to Starbucks pumpkin scones. Dontcha just love autumn?

4) I lived in New York City for 6 years and didn't drive at all. I just got my license (again - had to retake the test since it had been so long since my license expired!).

5) My BF is running to be State Representative. I am helping him campaign locally!

6) I am a Yoga and Pilates instructor.
