    I'm staying in on NYE with my man and my 4.5 y/o stepdaughter, and I'm thinking we should still dress up in some blinding, disco sequins for our little living room party.

    I'm also thinking we should set the clock a couple hours back and ring in the New Year early, before the munchkin gets all overtired and insane -- a state of cranky/loopyness that is shockingly similar to an overly drunk friend at a party who's giggling/weeping to you about boys and wanting a tattoo of a butterfly. Except with the preschooler, it's about Dora the Explorer and unicorns and stuff. Either way, it ends up being your job to put her to bed.
