Do you wear suits, darlings?
Or do you prefer separates?
Under most circumstances, CC wears these pieces separately...
Grab your suit jacket and wear it with jeans ~ so chic!

Separates mostly, but I love the look of all these suits you have posted. Very chic and sophisticated!

i'm absolutely drooling over several of those jackets! which, i will admit, i would wear with jeans and heels....crazy great!
ReplyDeleteAmazing selection!
ReplyDeleteXoXo
ooooh love them all especially the pink one!
ReplyDeletexoxox
I love suits, but I love to wear the pieces separately too. I adore the Matthew Williamson one! gorgeous, darling! xo
ReplyDeleteI used to wear suit jackets with skirts in high school. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy, but I didn't care. I love a nice suit jacket!
ReplyDeleteI have one suit and i have used it only ones(with printed t-shirt) but separately many times.I use the jacket with jeans and pants with my leather jacket.I don t really need suit for my work but i think every women should have at least one in her closet!
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing. I like them all. I hope you're having a great day so far. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI'll take that whole Blumarine outfit! It always cheers me up to look at resortwear. :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing!!!! I think my favorite is the last one and the girl wearing it kinda looks like Jessica Simpson!! Great post!!

I think that the pant suit is the one place that fashion nearly always improves as time goes on-they're just cut so much better for women (with the exception maybe of YSL). These are amazing picks as always! xx
ReplyDeletesimple black one is my pick, always works! beautiful post
ReplyDeleteeeep! i love this post! such awesome pretties!
ReplyDeletei have loads of suits from my banking days...was going to take them to consignment because i never wear them. maybe i'll keep a few. i do have a couple of shrunken school boy blazers for this fall though.
ReplyDeleteMoschino Resort is my favorite; followed by Jean Paul Gaultier Couture. I too prefer wearing these pieces as separates - nothing dresses up a pair of denim like a suit jacket! :)
ReplyDeleteOooh working girl chic! I love it. I adore Chanel suits. Etro has some incredibly wacky colorful ones too. :P
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of the really strong '80s jacket silhouette, but primarily because it just doesn't work on me (I've already got broad shoulders). That said, some of these are really pretty. Love the second look in particular.
ReplyDeleteLove the Chanel! I have to agree, the suit jacket/jeans combo can really look good.
ReplyDeleteExcellent post!
Love the Matthew Williamson and Moschino looks- I don't have to wear suits to work, but I would wear these are fun ones!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comment yesterday ....already feeling a bit better today :)
I had a suit just like the first one but in red! I've hung on to nearly all of my beautiful suits from my corporate days. They're too nice to get rid of. I'm trying to wear them as separates now.
ReplyDeleteLove the leopard
ReplyDeleteLove the leopard.
ReplyDeleteI love blazers... like you, I wear suits as separates. Blazers with jeans work best for me.
ReplyDeleteThat bright printed suit is so cute!
ReplyDeleteTough decision but The very first- The final decision.
ReplyDeleteseparates,I don't have where to wear suits:)
ReplyDeletei'm in love with that Chanel! i'm desperate to own one of there jackets!

ReplyDeleteSuit UP! This is awesome stuff, I love wearing suits, they make you feel so in control and sexy at the same time!
ReplyDeletei just love the look of suit blazers and pants/skirts. that pink one i'm drooling over.
ReplyDeletelove the powder pink alexis mabille and the loose richard chai resort!
ReplyDeleteS
xx
Love the tweed jacket and sheath!
ReplyDeleteUsually separates, these are all gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteohboy...that first one is SO 80s. I love it. I don't work in an office anymore but there's no way that I'm getting rid of my suits. they were my suits of armor for so long and they are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWow, Cindy Crawford' suit is so late 80s fab! Reminded me of Gaultier's jacket worn by Madonna, no?! "respect yourself hey-hey..." you know that song darling! xo*
ReplyDeleteLOVE THESE LOOKS
ReplyDeletegorgeous, absolutely awesome
thanks for sharing darling

Oh how I would love a Chanel suit
ReplyDeleteWhen I am a lady I shall have a pink tweed Chanel suit.
ReplyDeleteBut today I found the most beautiful pink tweedy fabric to make my own =D I'm so excited, it's going to have a pencil skirt.

that ungaro is gorgeous! I prefer seperates as well, but wear a suit in certain occasions!
ReplyDeletei've always been a suit fan.. even back when ill fitting suits were in at ann taylor.. thank goodness i kept those fabulous blazers... so much use again.
ReplyDeleteWhat I wouldn't give for a classic Chanel suit! You know I'd be rocking the boucle jacket with jeans!
ReplyDeleteI am loving these suits you have up here. I don't look good at all in a suit, but I am like 5 foot. But they are really cute on taller frames. :)
ReplyDeleteBTW, I didn't know if you want to exchange links. :) I would greatly appreciate it. Have a great day. :)

ReplyDeleteNothing like a good suit to help make a lady feel powerful and sexy
I always admire any woman who can look wear a trouser suit and look chic... not "officey"! Agree with you on the suit jacket and jeans combo, effortless style!

A girl always needs a good suit to get her through the day...I love the last one especially CC, makes me wish for spring to come!
ReplyDeleteHey CC! Sorry I've been MIA in visiting your blog lately, but I've missed it. These are all great, but yes, I too wear these separates and love wearing a suit jacket with jeans. I'm going to start cuffing my suit pants and wearing them with tights. Love that look. Thanks for the inspiration pics as always!
ReplyDeletexo, Becs
I don't mind a lovely tweed skirt suit!!
ReplyDeleteLove that old pic of Christy!!

ReplyDeletei usually wear seperates, but the model looks so great in the pucci suit that i want to try it out.
ReplyDeleteTotally giving me new thoughts on the power suit, which I normally detest. I love that Alexis Mabille look!

Carrie, I just wanted to say thank you for the supportive comment. It really meant a lot to me.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful post. I love seeing pictures of women's suit on the runway. I love blazer jackets and tailored pants. I think women wear it very well.
Yes, very nice!
ReplyDeleteI wear suits. Good stuff. Great style here - the combos, the red & leopard, the rolled pants...

ReplyDeletei always want to try that style, but it's always look old on me :(
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've worn a complete suit in ages, but if I were ever forced to get one, Chanel it would be! The most timeless version of all! I love these modern takes of the suits you posted though. Sure beats the ones I see our accountants wear ;-)
ReplyDeleteI think it's so great how versatile suits can be these days.
