OMG, everything here is gorgeous! Love the Jackie O dress though!!!
ReplyDeleteminimalism - probably means i'll be back in my skinny jeans with boots and a basic tee. and i'm accessorizing with big pendants lately...
ReplyDeleteThis I so totally love. I'm a minimalist myself, sometimes I know I tend to be boring. But I just love the minimal look. Thanks for sharing! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi CC, all these designs bring to my mind Victoria Beckham's first collection:) I quite like her simple, sleek lines...
ReplyDeleteLovely picks! My fave is BCBG!
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of fashion High WASPs like. Where the design imperative is built in, vs. added on.
ReplyDeleteFor me, minimalism means sticking with the classics. I'm trying to buy more basic pieces that will last. Then I'll get trendy with accessories!
ReplyDeletedat Brian Reyes dress speaks to me :o]
ReplyDeleteGreat selection, Carrie! I adore the ladylike style!
ReplyDeletexxxx
I LOVE this style. Everything appeals here.
ReplyDeleteLove these looks...so "grown up" chic.
ReplyDeleteNarciso always gets it right! I love admiring designs this style, although I almost never dress like this myself!

Valli is pure perfection! x
ReplyDeletedefinitely one of my favourite trends, even though i'm pretty much the epitome of maximalism ;)

ReplyDeleteAdore the orange shift! Lovely.

Thanks for yesterdays lace piece Carrie. So many good looks today, for so fortunate girls with figures that can withstand very close inspection for flaws ... I suppose I still love the Alice + Olivia though...
ReplyDeleteGirl can dream ....
Thanks! Petra
LOVE the Black Halo dress! Fantastic selections.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great weekend!
xx
I love minimalistic styles on others, but not myself. I feel to bare and plain. ;)

Gorgeous. I love Raf Simons for Jil Sander's take on it... So looking forward to the Uniqlo collab. Xxxc
ReplyDeleteLove the Halo and Victoria Beckham dresses. They are so feminine and sexy without being over the top.
ReplyDeletegreat blog great post!
ReplyDeletecheck out mine if you have the chance http://girlonfire28.blogspot.com/
Beatufiul examples ! Today I found a word to describe this trend (minimalistic 2009): midimalistic. It sounds stupid but it kinda describe my idea xD
ReplyDeleteI love these minimalistic pieces. I am in love with that Giambattista Valli one. So elegant and classy.
ReplyDeleteMinimalist = elegant when well done, think Audrey Hepburn in a black dress.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week Carrie

Just proves less is always more.
ReplyDeleteAhh! Modern minimalism.. Music in my ears! I'm Scandinavian, so maybe that's why this appeals to me so much? ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely selection!
Minimalism really isn't my thing but i totally appreciate the look (and genius of the designers). I really like the GV dress- fabulous. And I would def go minimal to wear it :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE minimalism, even though I do not often 'subscribe' to it. Loved Calvin Klein SS2010's collection! Minimalist but with amazing textures and detailing...
ReplyDeletexx
love this post! the Alice + Olivia is gorgeous! x
ReplyDeletei loved the last two posts. i love lace and i am just getting into minimalism.
ReplyDeletei love all of these! i want to clear out my closet and replace these!
ReplyDeleteLove thiss! I love minimalism and the structures are to die for!
ReplyDeleteLess is truly more yet it's so justified with the use of color and texture. I feel Calvin Klein's S/S collections have been a great example of this. Clean designs with intricate feeling.
ReplyDeletei totally love that gray dress! eek! haha
ReplyDeleteSimple can be so classy!
ReplyDeleteOh! So much gorgeousness here.
ReplyDeleteI'd wear pretty much all of it :)
Love clean, elegant lines - so flattering.
Have a fabby week Miss CC! <3 xxx

Minimalism is lost on most Indian designers. Yet, interestingly, basic, fluid cuts are what makes an outfit timeless. I love the selection in your post. Hope you had a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat first picture is so lovely! I don't really do minimalism, though...
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the first blue dress in this post. So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWOW, all the pieces you posted are simple yet stunning and i'm especially in love with that orange Jil Sander number, it's perfection!
ReplyDeleteThank You for your comment too, made me smile :D!

I love this, if I'd have the money for the quality I'd be all over it.
ReplyDeletejuliet xxx
Fab post! I love these pieces!
ReplyDeleteI love the shape and structure of these dresses. That one white dress is one of my favourites from the Giambattista's S/S 09 collection. I love how much volume there is to the bottom half of the dress.
ReplyDeletethose dresses are so pretty i love love ! beautiful :D
ReplyDeleteCC, I adore this one. There's nothing quite like modern minimalism in my book. And then throw in an OTT accessory or two. Just because you can ;)
ReplyDeleteLove this, thanks for the sharing.
Hope all is well with you at your end of the world :D
this post is perfection
ReplyDeletereally amazing, the detail make the looks incredible-and that black one shouldered from shopbop is amazing
ReplyDeleteFor me minimalism rimes with Japan (Yamamoto, for exemple) Straingh lines, plain fabrics (grey, white or black) ... I am sure you see what I mean - you know better.
ReplyDeletenot really my style but i appreciate the designs :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeousness dear CC, my favorite is the Isaac Mizrahi outfit... ♥
ReplyDeleteLove these dresses. That one-shoulder black dress is hott! I really want to get a Complex Geometries dress which is minimal but the layering puts a modern twist to it. Fab post, CC!
ReplyDeletexo, Becs
oh yes, mimimalism rocks!
ReplyDeletexoxo
nice dresses!!
ReplyDeleteSome lovely examples of minimalism that are anything but dull.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with Style Redux 2 comment!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat picks, dear
xoxo
