CC, bella, if you like those Louboutins you should check out Camilla and Marc's (Aussie designers) leopard print platform booties (available October, I think). They cost $600 Aus and I cannnot wait to get my hands on a pair. Of them or the nude ones...check out vogue.com.au for the RAFW show to see the shoes....drooool :)
ReplyDeleteHow dare you post animal print...you know I'll want EVERYTHING!
ReplyDeleteFab post, darling! I love the leopard print the most<3
ReplyDeleteyou are speaking my language again! :) i've been in love with animal print since first purchasing a silk liz claiborne leopard-print scarf in the mid-80s (back when the brand was really cool).
ReplyDeletei especially like the one-shoulder red dress pictured....and of course just about everything else.
thanks for this awesomely "fierce" post!
xoxo
Krizia is STUNNING! You are so good at finding all these styles and creating little fashion stories. xxx
ReplyDeleteI definitely fancy a little leopard print dress, xv
ReplyDeletelove animal prints, I wear them a lot...But its important to know how, because very easily can be tacky...love your picks! These are absolutely stylish!
ReplyDelete*tny for supporting me
box of style
Bazaar 2008...I need that entire outfit. Oh, how divine!
ReplyDeletei just went through my mums old clothes and she has so many leopard print things. which just goes to show you should really hang on to clothes because trends do come back round!
ReplyDeleteYes to everything but the bathing suits. I love it when you go animal wild!:-)
ReplyDeletexoxo
Fierce is right! I love that Versace dress... *sigh*
ReplyDeletewhat a fun post! I love that Just Cavalli tunic...gorg!
ReplyDeleteOT: I am adding you to both my blogroll and the Francis one right now! I didn't mean to leave you off -- it's just the list is so long and sometimes I have someone on Google Reader without realizing they never made it onto the blog itself :-)

ReplyDeletei used to hate animal print, but it's really growing on me lately... great picks :-D xxxc
ReplyDeletethese pieces are fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteHeide Klum looks amazing in that first picture. Just amazing.
ReplyDeletei looooove the bikni and scarf...and esp. the little guy dressed as a tiger!
ReplyDeleteOohhh the VS bikini is perfect! I'm so going to check that out! This post made me say "rawr" outloud. :)
ReplyDeleteXOXO!
Seriously Carrie God gave so much inspiration to us in nature and everything created. And thanks for the inspiring images.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, animal prints are sooooooo fierce!!!!!
ReplyDeletexoxoxox
This is so wrong, but the first thing I thought of when I saw the leopard print was Bruno's recent red carpet appearances: http://blogs.glam.com/glamchic/2009/06/01/get-the-look-bruno%E2%80%99s-leopard-moment/
ReplyDeleteLess than aesthetically pleasing! Of course, your pieces are another story :)
Im usually not a fan of these prints but your post just made me fall in love with them!!!
ReplyDeleteI seriously DIE every time I see that Ferragamo tiger ..I WANT IT SO BADLY!
ReplyDeleteI was IN LOVE with white tigers when I was a kid ...like retarded about it. ahahaha.
Ironically, I am wearing a snakeskin dress on my blog today that would be right at home here! It's by Karta, on sale at Shopbop and soooo lovely!
ReplyDeleteI now want that Just Cavalli tunic, and those sass and bide leggings (would never wear them, still want them though!)
I shall forever have a soft spot for some leopard print. That DvF look is so wonderfully autumnal, the colours of the animal prints are fantastic! The Matthew Williamson zebra print heels are stunning, especially those pink soles :) Woah the Louboutins are so fierce!! Oooh and the Cavalli tunic is so pretty :)
ReplyDeleteGrrrrrrrr...I absolutely LOVE animal prints, when done tastefully of course. Frida Giannini at Gucci does some of the best animal prints in the industry in my opinion...always understated but still able to make a statement. I love the Lanvin clutch, the Sass & Bide Leggings, and the Tyler Rose swimsuit. Also, the March Vogue spread is adorable!
ReplyDeleteGreat round up of animal prints... I feel like purrrrrring or grrrrrrring!
ReplyDeleteBon week-end mon amie!
Fifi
ooo the Christian Louboutin are to die for!!

Such a fierce blog post. I love that picture of the woman next to the giraffe.
ReplyDeleteI have always LOVED the animal print...I think it partially is from my mom getting dressed up in the 80s. I love a great animal print on a swimsuit, heel & a dress....you're so right, sooo fierce! meow!
ReplyDeleteI always think at animals when i see prints and I couldn't wear them, even if "animal instinct" sounds very good
ReplyDeletethe orange zebra is divine!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of animal print; it can be tacky depending on what type of garment/accessory it's on, but it makes me feel quite sassy!
ReplyDeleteSo fierce! Have a wonderful, fabulous weekend, CC!
ReplyDeletecan't help but stare and laugh at the photo with the little kid in the tiger outfit!
ReplyDeletethat's really the cool thing about animal prints, yes? sometimes they're a bit kitschy, they've been here forever, but they seem to be timeless and will always make their way into fashion! that said, i should start packing on the animal prints, yes?
ReplyDeletep.s. hope you could add me up to your blogroll too cc, i've added you to mine!
much love
eden
Ps. You have an award!xxoxo
ReplyDeletenow I want an animal print swimsuit love the last scarves..Have a great weekend:))
ReplyDeleteThose cheetah (?) stillettos are a knock out! Gorgeous post!
ReplyDeleteI love the dress with the super enlarged animal print! I probably wouldn't have even known it was animal print! I also love the scarf with the multicolored animal print. I thought they were olives at first for some reason!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever worn animal print...I've only just started wearing floral print. But those Zebra print shoes are great. I need them!
ReplyDeletei like her in that playsuit, the colour is great on her. I think fashions fascination with animal prints. I love Issa's use of it in hre that dress!
ReplyDeletehappy wknd CC!
