oooh! i love the rick owens dress! you always give me so many ideas for my prom! haha.
ReplyDeleteHi there-the Alberta Ferretti dress is totally gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love empire waist dresses! I'm working on a pretty blue one right now!
ReplyDeleteLove all your selection, but the second dress is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat Dior is divine.
ReplyDeleteThe empire waist is so flattering on so many, but still a lot of women don't chose this sillhouette! The Rick Owens plunge is breathtaking, I would love to see it on. I adore the Rebecca Taylor frock, it is so fun and flirty, as well as the Emily & Fin printed dress. Also the Christian Dior dress is quite ferocious.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your words. It really helped and warmed my heart. As I now wrote on my blog I was listened instead or punished. Things now might start to go better way.
ReplyDeleteIt truly means the world to me that you offered to listen. That happens rarely around here and it felt like a piece of gold left on my comment box.

CC, I'm still 'traumatizzzed' by 'empire' cut...one of my sist-friend was mistaken for being pregnant wearing one!...how could she when she was having her menstruation! I'm sure she had a MAJOR p.m.s that day! ~hee*
ReplyDeleteHaha that sounds treacherous just as I was about to say how flattering they are! Maybe if you're a bit curvy at the moment you should use discretion when it comes to empire waists? Sometimes it's hard to envision how something looks when all you see is skinny people wearing it!
ReplyDeletehey girl! my fav is the Javier Larrainzar! so pretty and fem :)
ReplyDeleteand i love your post title! i seem to catch onto you witty movie/music related titles..haha i like it.
re your question - scary movies for friday night for sure! i think i will bring my scary silence of the lambs collection..they are great those films! we all love the scary ones..such fun.
hope you have something nice planned for your weekend too :)

ReplyDeletei love that cut of a dress. remember in the 90's when there were baby doll dresses that cut like that? about the nutcracker...yey, that made my day. i love the nutcracker and especially the part where the big lady lifts her dress and all the little (were they mice? or children?) are underneath? hope you are well cc!
ReplyDeletemy mom used to tell me that i looked pregnant whenever i was wearing something empire waisted... i still love it. and it is a great shape for pregnant ladies ;)

ReplyDeleteI love empire, but it rarely fits me right. Nice picks!
ReplyDeleteThis look has staying power, but I'm kind of over it. For me, it dies with baby doll dresses. But, when done right, it wor[K]s.

I'm not entirely sure the empire style is for me but it sure does make all the models look incredibly tall(er)!

Hey gorgeous girl....
ReplyDeleteLove this post...only to drool over though. Shame you cannot wear an empire waist (save for strapless dresses) if you have a bust.
Still, pretty pretty things :)
Love the first one, Galliano is the best.

LOVE the empire... now to get the body is shape for the style! One does not want to look pregnant when one is NOT!
ReplyDeleteI've always loved the Empire style.
ReplyDeleteThe word 'empire' reminds me of 'What not to wear', because they pronounce empire in an odd way, lol.
ReplyDeletelove, love, love!!!
