ReplyDeleteBeautiful picks! The top half of my wedding dress-Monique Lhuillier, was a lace bustier. It is so amazing and beautiful. It made me feel wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI so love corsets! I think my favourites are Peter Som, Vivienne Westwood Red Label, D&G, Jason Wu and Charlotte Ronson.
ReplyDeleteI tried on a bustier for the first time recently and now I'm thinking I HAVE to save up for one. I have my eye on one by Vancouver-based designer Malene Grotrian.

xx
thanks, dear CC :]
besides being hard to breathe in, they're fab! wore one to get married in ...lol. Love the leather molded/sculpted one ...Fendi? love.
ReplyDeleteI love corsets, however I never look right in them and I kind of feel like a 16 year old goth kid because I never get it right.
ReplyDeletex
Rachel Roy was by far my favorite. I've got that one saved in my lookbook as well! ^_^
ReplyDeleteFunny _ I USED to wear corsets all the time. Back when I had no business wearing them as I was quite overweight and pudgy.
ReplyDeleteNowadays, i still have them but I just can't bring myself to wear them. That's not to say I don't adore Corset Dresses because I do wear those with aplomb!
But corsets by themselves have taken a back seat in my style.
That said, I do have a tasteful beige and cream french etoile print one by Shoshanna that I bought on Bluefly in 2004! I think I might break that one out soon, with a nice skirt - if I ever have the occassion to wear it!
Great post
x0x0x Lusty
PS - word verification is Grande - as in the way your rack looks when you wear a corset ;)
Great stuff. Love corsets, they give such a shape....
ReplyDeleteAll the best CC, dear
xoxo

Surprisingly the DSquared2 was one of my favorites! I'm not sure if i myself could pull this off, but it's def. something lovely to look at. The construction of those pieces is just amazing!
ReplyDeleteJenni Kayne is a genius. I love how she used nerdy chic as the motif for her line this season.
ReplyDeleteSo edgy! I have yet tried wearing a corset, but this post makes me want to try it =)
ReplyDeleteoh, i love that orange and pink number! Beautiful. I have never worn a corset other than once in college. I worry it doesn't look very flattering but maybe I will give a dress with one a try:)
ReplyDeleteI ADORE the Jenni Kayne & Rachel Roy pieces!
