This picture is from my fourth folder, entitled “Bib,” in which CC is amassing necklace photos for an upcoming post. Ironically, this piece was shown on the runway for both men and women at the 3.1 Phillip Lim show. The rhinestone-embellished collar pictured at right is available at net-a-porter.com.

Thank you for the comment, and great post! :)
ReplyDeleteHi there-a lovely post yet again, I love the Josh Goot outfit!! The Phillip Lim necklace is gorgeous too!
ReplyDeleteAndrogyny is always a fun look, and I'm seriously on the search for a nice floral print shirt!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it intereseting how some menswear looks fierce and others look too preppy and girlie - hence androgenous!
ReplyDeleteHello there,
ReplyDeleteI just came across your blog and very much enjoy it.
Please come and visit mine too.
It's a fashion blog inspired by Portobello Road, London and with personal outfits and blurbs!
I hope you enjoy it.
See you soon.
It's amazing how sexy women can look in menswear, but men in womenswear? No thanks haha
ReplyDeleteOMG I WANT THE FLORAL SUIT SO BADLY! The florals are so pretty, the colors are very soft. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteReally interesting but I definitely prefer women who dress like a man than the opposite !
ReplyDeleteI do love a bit of androgyny, I remember seeing that model in the Josh Goot at London fashion week and she wears that kind of style backstage. I like to hint at it sometimes, though I'm slightly scared of taking it too far.
ReplyDeleteOMG! I love the tie necklace!
ReplyDeleteObedient sons and daughters looks are amazing! I love the print.
ReplyDeleteWow, nice to see mens for a change! Great post, CC x
ReplyDeleteThanks!!! Will be posting it tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI'm a major fan of this..and I swear nothing is more comfortable than a good pair of the boyfriend cut jeans. They're just fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI also love that men are wearing pastels now - they look good on just about anyone!
xo, dear.
i am not sure about men wearing flowers but i do like them in fresh colors as well. but back in the days, men do wear ruffles too, uh...
ReplyDeletecarrie! i LOVE this post its awessome. so many good looks. who doesnt love a man in florals. and thanks for the tag!! so sweet
ReplyDeletexo danielle
I think I'll keep MrB out of florals and tutus.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely love it :)
ReplyDeletexoxo,
La C.
House of Holland... House of Fabulous!

I love men's wear! I especially love women's jackets that are inspired by the men's tuxedo jackets.
ReplyDeletenot so sure on some of the really girly mens wear ( a tutu?) but I LOVE the manly women's wear! boyfriends jeans & suit jackets are a must have!
ReplyDeleteoh and thanks for tagging me, i'll responding in my next post, tina x
i'm enjoying it more on the women's side.
ReplyDeleteI've always been a sucker for a cute guy in a pink shirt :) and mens blazers on a woman is a favorite also! Great post dear CC.xoxo
ReplyDeletei love the androgynous look... even if its just wearing a guys T, it feels so different and good...
ReplyDeleteLove the Philip Lim necklace!
xxx Brooke
alots of nice pictures and clothes!
ReplyDeletewww.mariastenersen.com
i really like the tie on a necklace.
ReplyDeleteoh dear god. I LOVE androgynous fashion. especially women's fashion inspired by menswear! so sexy. this is bloody brilliant! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm all for raiding the men's department, but I'm not sure how I feel about the boys borrowing from the gals. :)
ReplyDeleteLove androgynous dressing! Some men just need to be more bold. :]
ReplyDelete-Tina
P.S. Thanks for your sweet comment!
love the boyfriend jeans!!!
ReplyDeleteAndrogynous dressing is really starting to explode!
ReplyDeleteAnother great post! I'm a guy I would wear most of the pieces in here. Except for the coat with tulle, I mean really, even the model looks mortified
ReplyDeleteC.
Men in florals - wow! I would've never imagined! Lovely post and you have definitely opened my eyes.
ReplyDeleteOh and btw, I am hosting a Valentine's Day contest which starts tomorrow, and I would love it if you entered, so please check back at my blog!
WOW! Its such a step in the fashion world. I love the skinny tie though... and that fabulous briefcase!
ReplyDeletegreat post! half my clothes are mens these days...i love it.
ReplyDeleteand thanks for your warm comment! you are a genuine lovely person and soul CC! will always be a fan!
love LM xxxx
i'll have to say:
ReplyDeletethe floral shirt with the purple shoes = AMAZING.
it so odd looking, but I just love it!
I like the whole feminine do masculine and I think that masculine can do feminine to a certain extent. But the florals walk a very VERY fine line! xx
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of a man in a button down pink shirt but a skirt?! Not so much.
ReplyDeleteI love menswear of women. Loose, slouchy drop crotch pants, ties, button downs, just classics. Womenswear on men is so much more difficult to pull off, but the looks are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLove the new banner.
for me, me, me... P.s. thanks for the link to the stockings.. you rock!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the menswear.. Uh huh.. I really do!
Love the scarf in the second pic! But men should probably wear menswear..
ReplyDeleteP.S.: I love your new header.
ReplyDeleteoh my,clothing is really starting to blur the gender lines. love those pieces by Obedient sons and daughters. adore that print!Soon I think most lines will just be unisex CC
ReplyDeletebig kiss,
Marian
Women can looks absolutely great in menswear, but men in womenswear looks just funny.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
FM
The female suits by Obedient Sons and Daughters are so lush, as for the 'school boy shorts' mens version ... slightly scary
ReplyDeletex
I love androgyne style ! The red necklace tie is awesome..
ReplyDeleteI also like matching couples but I think its something I'll never try.
ReplyDeleteBesos!
i'm a big fan of the androgynous look.
ReplyDeleteI LIVE for androgyny! I wear women's tees a lot because thy fit me better, but it's so funny when I am wearing a woman's accesory or tee or something guys always compliment it. I am drooling over Stefano Pilati's latest gender-bending collection though.
ReplyDeleteI'm just waiting for the day when it isn't "tacky" for women to wear cuff links. I will definitely be celebrating that day!
ReplyDeletei have always fancied myself androgynous
ReplyDeletei love the pieces and i dont mind seeing men, in those prints and colors.lol!!
Nice pics!
ReplyDeleteI think Men's fashion and boomy boy models became some androgynous recently, compaired to 90's and early 2000.
I like men's both masculine and feminine sides, and just feel boring for the solid policy and sole sample of what boy should be like.
On my opinion, Prada showed us feminine boy styles around early 2000s and recent 08/09AW but last one changes to some masculine,,,i really like her various mind for men fashion.
