How weird is it that we hate people who combine their shoes w/ their bags, but in Alexander Wwang's case it looks brilliant! I think it's the structure of the shoes & the patterns that make the difference. Great post!
ReplyDeleteHi CC,
ReplyDeleteCongrats! You deserve the little award edited by me. :) (Unigue and Chic) I am glad that it expands in this manner (fellow fashionistas)! :) Haha! ;)
My fav japanese designer is Tsumori Chisato. I love tights. :)
big kisses: Janet
Woah, some of this matching is very intense, I like the shock value especially with the men's clothing!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Lanvin: sophisticated, not a bit "deja vu", and so so classy!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the yellow collection. :-) I think fashion should be also beautiful (like all art), not just innovative. (Of course it's a matter of taste too...)
ReplyDeleteI think it works on the runway but in real life... but I like the idea of matching shoes and bag, xoxo: MG
ReplyDeleteyay for more awards!
ReplyDeleteI love the matching tight and clutch, it looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your award :)
That is a lot of matching! Too much to take in all at once.
ReplyDeletex
that Paul & Joe outfit is so cute and pretty! the floral prints are so fresh, bring on spring! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats, darling!
ReplyDeleteI like those matchy matchy patterns!
xoxo
love that anna sui dress and the lavin leo print clutch!! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the awards, CC! I have a conspiracy theory about the resurgence of matchy-matchy: It's a tactic to get you to buy more during tough economic times, i.e. if you get the shoes, you have to have the matching bag. ;)
ReplyDeletecongratulations!!
ReplyDeleteI am loving that Calvin Klein
I am IN LOVE with this L’Wren Scott dress and coat... OMG!!!! Amazing and I could actually wear that! WOW WOW WOW!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI am loving the Calvin Klein
I like to match and I also love to mismatch. The best is when you see someone pull of two different prints.
ReplyDeletethank you so much for the awards! these are my first! :D
ReplyDeletei like the matchy matchy thing when it's matching a bag to something in your outfit but not when everything is matching (like with prints), but some of the models pull off the look pretty well! and oh nooo the narciso rodriguez cow print camoflague! hahaha :) even though i hate it, i bet it's going to be featured a lot in magazines, just because it's outlandish.
p.s. i'm at school so i can't post the awards right now but i'll be posting them as soon as i can!
ReplyDeleteHi there-some great picks here, I love the Tory Burch look!
ReplyDeleteOMG CC! You are too sweet! Just beyond amazing for awarding me once again!! Even though I forgot about the last time because of fashion week, This time nothing will stop me for passing it on and mentioning such an out of this world blogger as you. Thank You again. Tune into Tommorrows Post. <3
ReplyDeletei'm so glad that is matching trend is now starting to cath on in a way. Mainly becasue I'm one of those people that somehow finds a way to buy matching items just becasue I love the one. I just hope the Narciso Rodriguez cow print doesn't catch on. :P
Fantatic Post, as usual!
congrats on ur awards......
ReplyDeletethank goodness matching up seems to be back, cuz i love matching my shoes with bag and belt.........lol....
Yay, no longer shall I receive odd looks, when from time to time I go OTT with the 'old matching from-head-to-toe, whoop, whoop! About time the catwalk caught up, hehe, jokes ;)
ReplyDeletePeace and Bows...
PrettyneonsX
definitely my favourite --->

Anna Sui and Missoni = the outfits of my dreams. They are so, so perfect; and completely unpredictable.
ReplyDeleteFinally! Keep on with the good job:) ad mens stuff then and then!
ReplyDeleteThe grey sweater looks really nice, want one!
That yellow/gold Calvin Klein dress is so vibrant
ReplyDeletex
L'Wren Scott = awesome. So Hitchcock heroine.
ReplyDeleteI totally try and match colours together - at least two items have to be anchors, whether it is purple shoes and a purple bag. White gloves and white scarf. Grey shoes and Grey top. That kinda thing.
I would love to go crazy one day this summer and wear a whole bunch of colours at once!
LOVE the GUCCI bag!!!!!! Byebye
ReplyDeleteThank you my dear Carrie!
ReplyDeleteI like this post, especialy fantastic L’Wren Scott!
FM/FP
Thanks again CC! The Lanvin dress and bag are so completely stunning. I also love the Wunderkind look. I am into matching, depending on color and print...it can go overboard. Alexander Wang and Custo Barcelona did some great matchy pieces this season as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your amazing comments, darlings!
ReplyDeleteJanet my love: I totally forgot that the beautiful award originated with you - I went back and changed my post so you are included and linked!!
xoxox,
CC
I'm all confused!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was loving not matching my shoes with my bag, now it's a must??
Sounds my mother "you have to have your bag n the same colour of your shoes!!!"
Well I think I'll coordinate sometimes (because I also like it) and other ones I'll clash ;)
This is a great post.
And thank you lovely for the tips about legswear.
Oh and congrats on the awards, you s deserve them.
xoxo
Too funny how I have all but 2 of these shots in my Style.com lookbook. Great minds think alike! ^_^ I must admit, L'Wren Scott takes the Matchy Matchy cake today though! In my opinion at least!
ReplyDeleteAnother fantastic post, CC! You deserve all of the awards! x
ReplyDeleteI love all of Tory Burch and Paul & Joe looks,
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats!!!!!!
x
Your blog is totally fierce! Congrats on the awards! I like matching, but not from head to toe. I like matching a purse with a shoe!
ReplyDeleteNice post!!
ReplyDeletebikini and bag!! super cute!
ReplyDeletexx
Lovely pieces! bjs
ReplyDeleteI still don't get the matchy-matchy thing, but nonetheless
ReplyDeletethe clothes still look marvelous.
I would wear these items separately!
Congrats on the awards!
This post made me dizzy... too much!
ReplyDeletei have to say, im not a big fan of matchy matchy. But I find it very interesting when its printed matchy matchy, like the squared blue and purple suit.. yum!
ReplyDeletexx-LJ from SOS!
That Michael Kors is amazing!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your award doll!
Love the pictures in this post. And congrats!
ReplyDeleteI am so in love with the Anna Sui dress. Prints!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love matching leggings and handbags!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations CC on your well deserved awards! I am still not sure I'll do the matchy matchy but this is a great post specially loved the
ReplyDeleteL’Wren Scott and Karen Walker dresses. So chic!
I love that bikini and bag! I may need to find out if I can make my own bikini with a matching hand bag. Hmmm...
ReplyDeleteHey CC! I don't mind matching clothes and accessories in certain instances. It can be done brilliantly as shown by the looks you've posted here but other times, it can just fall flat.
ReplyDeleteAlso, just to let you know, I'm having blog contest and the prize is a Rachel Leigh Sex and the City-inspired studded belt. Hope you'll check it out!
gawd, it's time for me to loose weight! these models are walking pole! gawd!
ReplyDeletethanks for adding me in your blogroll! you are in my list as well!
Some of the matching is so extreme, but some of it is done so well. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI really love that mens wear gray look. Very lush and rich.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing the photos.
ReplyDeleteI really like how the outfits with the matching tights and dresses look - it comes off as adorable, I think.
ReplyDeleteHi again!=)
ReplyDeleteGreat post friend, just like what Hemaly said, those people who love to wear the same color from head to toe are so weird..
But the you carry your clothes has totally change my idea about rave clothing or about people who wears rave clothing..=)
Thanks for sharing it.
Have a nice day..;D
Just found your blog and I love it :)
ReplyDeleteL'Wren Scott: I wanna marry you! :-)
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU, sweet CC!!! =)Love your choice of pieces!
ReplyDeleteoh this is an adorable post! I love Karen Walker the most! so cute.
ReplyDeleteand congrats on your awards! so deserved :) and nice work passing the love on!
xxx LM, happy weekend!
Thanks for the sweet comment you left on my blog =)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd ever be able to do the whole 'matchy matchy' thing - I hate it! But I have to admit it looks much better when Alexander Wang does it.

Congrats on the award. I've only recently come across your blog, but I really like it a lot. You definitely deserve the award. As far as this post is concerned, I think it depends on the outfit on whether it's good to match the bag or not. Some of these look better than others. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeletewelldone CC!!
ReplyDeleteThese matchy things are trippy. Love your selections, as always....
ReplyDeleteReally nice and fun choices !
