No, this is not a Golden Globes wrap-up; rather, it is a survey of the more wearable counterpart to yesterday’s gowns [most Fellow Fashionistas commented that the gowns were indeed gorgeous but that they’d have no occasion to wear them!], and CC’s absolute favorite silhouette: short and strapless!

Hello's...Ooh the delightful visual delights (as always. Agreed there is such a lack of models with cleavage I find it very tragic.
ReplyDeleteI've witnessed in the past girls who attempt to sellotape their assets firmly down to restrict any tale tell signs of cleavage...Unbelievable. Since when did a woman begin to feel ashamed, even insecure of cleavage? When once it was the other way round!
Peace and Bows...

Omg that Project Runway dress is gorgeous! Love all the picks you chose, however one still needs pretty good arms to get away with this trend :S
ReplyDeleteOoh I love Leanne's dress too!
ReplyDeleteHmm around this time of year, I'd probably make an excuse, like go to a dinner at a 4-star restaurant (Dine Out Vancouver is happening!) and cocktails afterward, and dress to the nines.
Hahahah, darling, you're just find my weakness! Such an excellent choice in this post.
ReplyDeleteMore than everything, it is Emanuel Ungaro, Versace, John Richmond, and Project Runway!

ReplyDeleteI love your blog- strangely enough I've never come across it before.
This is a great observation too- floor length gowns look beautiful on the red carpet but are unlikely ever be of any use to us mere folk! xx
Amazing dresses CC, you've chosen them so well.
ReplyDeleteI'm also in love with strapless.

what we needed
Those are some amazing dresses! I love the Elizabeth and James strapless.
ReplyDeleteIt was like a summer day in L.A. yesterday and that is why those kind of dresses looked so perfect for the awards last night.
ReplyDeletei love keira's!!
ReplyDeleteI used to hate strapless, but in the past few years, I've come around. Still hate strapless bras though!
ReplyDeleteI love this look. It always seems so funloving and carefree somehow.
ReplyDeleteLove the Balmain & Giambattita Valli dress!
ReplyDeleteAnd Keira is so gorgeous!
Ooh wow, I love the blue Versace dress!! :)
ReplyDeleteAlexander McQueen and the model with the cleavage won me over. its such a cute dress but funky at the same time
ReplyDeleteOoooO! I love all the defined waists.
ReplyDeleteI love strapless dresses but I'm always scared of falling out of them hehe. I own a few though so I might wear one tomorrow on top of a tank top or something *just in case* hehe.
ReplyDeleteo i looooooooooove strapless numbers! the balmain is my pic!
ReplyDeletethanks for you comment as always! loving you LM xxxx
some of them have an extremely stunning collections..
ReplyDeleteHeidi looks always fantastic!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love marchesa dresses!
Thank you so much for the lovely comment you left me, it made me smile.
ReplyDeleteI love strapless dresses, I just find them hard to wear because my boobs aren't big enough to hold them up. Keira must be using tit tape in that dress.
And I really liked Heidi's dress at the Globes.
O something for true women!!!!!
ReplyDeleteToo much beauty in one place, I almost died... *sigh*
ReplyDeleteThanks for your nice comment on my blog :)
Strapless is always the best way to go - it can dress up or down and always flatters!!
ReplyDeleteHeidi Klum was my favorite look of the night. The dress, the perfect bun, so ideal!
ReplyDeleteCutouts! Intricate feast for the eyes. I'd be so scared of pulling on a dress and ripping it all apart! :O But alot of these are beautiful enough that i couldn't care less and they'd probably still look fab despite a gaping hole lol. Nice post :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that Derek Lam black dress!
ReplyDeleteThere are a bunch here I haven't seen before. Very nice. And I'm liking the new banner, CC ;) xx
