Get your sea legs, darlings, because nautically inspired fashions are coming in waves! Think chic stripes, patriotic tones, rope detailing, and sailor silhouettes. Hint: Err on the side of glamour and ladylike elegance rather than cutesy kitsch.

ReplyDeleteI will take those white Prada shoes! I have never been a fan of this trend, so I prefer the colors seperately.

I love the blue/white and red/white stripes combination, even if they are too classic for others, is a sure bet for the nautical look.

that shell house is THE SHIT
ReplyDeleteYou will not believe this, but I actually passed by that same house years ago!
ReplyDeleteI used to go to Mexico often because of my Dad (airplane pilot), and we once went scuba diving in Isla Mujeres and then we drove around the island in a golf caddy and took pictures of THAT SAME HOUSE for my aunt who's an architect.
Gosh, what a coincidence!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
luv luv luv!
ReplyDeleteOooh I love that intarsia sweater and stripy belt, where is the belt from? Would be a great add to my nautical collection of anchors etc.
ReplyDeleteWhat a site for wide eyes! I just sort of stumbled on it. I was wondering if you have any info on the shell house you have on here, never seen anything like it, and as it happens i'm writing a paper on surrealism, fashion and shells...any info greatly appreciated. thanks for such a contribution to the art form that is fashion.
ReplyDeletenatalie
Hi Natalie! Thanks for your comment! Fashion is totally wrapped up with shells right now! Just check out the recent Dolce & Gabbana and Stella McCartney collections...
ReplyDeleteI don't know much about the Shell House other than its locale, in Isal Mujeres, Mexico. You might search Architectural Digest online!
