How to wear the titillating trend. . .
Dressing sheer need not be scandalous; just don the appropriate underpinnings. CC likes American Apparel's "too-short" tube dress, which can also double as a skirt or top, under a see-through garment.

Sheer genius… right, darlings? Now we just have to get ourselves some lovely lacy bras to wear underneath!
How do you wear sheer, my fellow fashionistas? Which is your favorite look?
that black, drapey dress towards the bottom is my fav. totally wearable to holiday parties!
ReplyDeletei have been wearing sheer for a couple of years but will layer with a cami or for a night out, black sheer with pretty black bra.
ReplyDeleteI love the Phillip Lim turquoise blue dress!
ReplyDeleteHey love the blog!!

I'm Sorry by my English....
I'm between minds. This look can be mysertious, or blatantly not.
ReplyDeleteInteresting.
x
costume national is the one i would happily wear!
ReplyDeleteand well, thanks, i added u
I adore layered sheer looks. I do love the colours in your examples, it makes it far more interesting :)
ReplyDeleteI love sheer fabrics, they're so glam!
ReplyDeleteoh wow the sleeves look really nice!!
ReplyDeleteLovely picks!
ReplyDeleteI bought a sheer black cotton top while in London and discovered these amazingly thin but effective heat-retaining camis from Uniqlo. I bought two in nude and they've been lifesavers; thin enough to layer underneath a top and tuck into jeans but also opaque enough to provide coverage!
ReplyDeletei'll call these THE CHIFFON CRAZE...
ReplyDeletethis is wild boo!
love the sheer-ness but definitely shy away from it!
ReplyDeletelove the marni + chloe + that 3.1 PL.
AH GENIUS ia right.
hope you had an amazing b-dau cc!
x.
Thanks for the underpinning recommendation. i have a couple of sheer things that I've wanted to wear but I've been very lazy about getting something to go underneath.
ReplyDeleteOh I love all of them! I often inadvertently wear the sheer look all the time because I don't realise how see-through my clothes are until it's too late! I love the look of sheer lace over a slip though.
ReplyDeleteI love sheer! The sheer shoulders at Thakoon look amazing
ReplyDeleteI just love sheer blouses. Might have to venture into some sheer dresses but not too sheer!
ReplyDeletei love this trend
ReplyDeleteneed me some!
Fear that this trend would be sheer terror on me. I am all for transparency, only not in a garment.
ReplyDeleteThey are all translucent treasures, but not for me.
I love your new banner pic! You always have such stunning banner pics :)
ReplyDeleteAs for sheer, I do love it if properly done. I have a sheer cream silk blouse, that is victorian styled with a high neck and lacey ruffled collar and cuffs... the victorian style is the perfect juxtaposition to the sheerness.
I wear either cream or nude pink retro style bras or corsets undeneath.
sheer = love, def a current obsession of mine...
ReplyDeleteThat slip from Urban Outfitters is a real bargain! And beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with the Elie Saab!
ReplyDeleteHe's one of my favorite designers
I love the teal dress at top and the Binetti top near the bottom! Thanks for getting me thinking sheer again!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visist and congrats on your blog, is one of the best fashion blogs I've seen recentely!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
oooh <3<3< I loove sheer blouses <3<3 I hate it that I can´t wear a sheer top whit out anything under it it would look so beautiful (and everyone would stare at me :'''> ;>> )
ReplyDeletegorgeous
ReplyDeletewow this is sexy...i'm good with it as long as the goodies are covered :)
ReplyDeleteso, when the summer is getting hotter and hotter, designers all run after the sheer trend. I wonder what's coming up next
ReplyDeletePlease come by and visit my blog... I have several posts of paintings of dresses.. I would love to paint many of the dresses on your post... is that ok?
ReplyDeletecheers... diane
those outfits are a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!!
ReplyDeleteI love sheer, but only when it looks classy.
ReplyDeleteI like the black dress by Isaac Mizrahi.
DVN's dress is real inspiration. I have some fabric just like that one and looking for a dress to match! :) This is cool
ReplyDeleteYour better have a perfect body for these peek-a-boo fashions!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm not sure they are good for PTA or church functions... actually if you wear these in public... can you get arrested for indecent exposure... I think I will take this up with the local authorities before I venture out with one of these ensembles.
ENJOY your weekend!
Fifi
I'd love to wear a nice sheer top with a flashy bra under, haha! But maybe I'm a bit shy to wear it..haha!!
