Great Lengths

Yesterday's focus was the knee-length coat. Today, we go long and luxurious, darlings: Floor Grazing Toppers! Both the fall and spring runways were brushed by Designer coattails. Behold, the beauty of the duster! The looks range from boudoir bodacious to apres-ski sleek to street chic....

Chanel Pre-fall - CC adooooores the raw-edge hem! This and next 2 via style.com.
Pamella Roland – exquisite knife pleats!
Tuleh belted camel coat with orange fur collar - striking!
Toni Maticevski - CC fancies these voluminous stripes!
Paul Smith's sweet and lovely robe-like topper complements a virginal frock perfectly.

D&G's nautical-stripe short-sleeve duster would be right at home poolside in Vegas!
Alberta Ferretti
Emilio Pucci
Roksanda Ilincic
Jean Paul Gaultier
Isaac Mizrahi
CC saves the best for last: a voluminous yet ethereal Zac Posen confection for Spring 2009.

The only trouble is . . . CC can’t seem to find any of these beauties in stores.

Have any of my Fellow Fashionistas seen floor length toppers in their favorite shops? If so, do tell!

Hope you've all had a wonderfully relaxing weekend. See you tomorrow!

xoxox,
CC

  1. Nice weekend, darling?
I'll get a dependent of your posts!

So, Alberta Ferretti, Zang Toi & L’Wren Scott. So simple, and so chic... possibility for many combinations.

  2. I saw this chick on the street the other day with a LITERALLY ground-sweeping leather coat. It looked very Rick Owens. But she looked foolish because it was too long. She reminded me of Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

  9. I find long coat disturbing in some cases. Your picks are fantastic though. The YY for Sonia Rykiel gives off such a dark and mysterious feel. I like that <3

  11. I don't like them, it's too fashion victim. Unless you live somewhere REALLY cold like Siberia or something...

  32. I'd so love to wear a coat like this but I'm too short. I'd look like a child wearing my dad's coat.

My favorites are: the LWren coat and the Toni striped coat!

  33. Long-long coats make me worry about how dirty they will get and how often I will take them to the cleaners which makes me aware of how lazy I am. I hate a garment that makes me aware of my character flaws.;-)

  34. OMG I love the full lenght.
Not easier to find and to wear without people comment...

Hope your weekend was a blast!!!
