Heroine Chic

Whether it’s fall’s brooding ad campaigns, the bevy of magazine editorial movie set re-creations, or the air of ladylike glamour that prevailed on the runways, Alfred Hitchcock and his leading ladies are certainly in the ether this autumn.

Somehow, stairwells always evoke Hitchcock for CC. A sculptural Viktor & Rolf top and echoes a spiral stair; featured in Italian Vogue. Gorgeous blonde bombshell and Fellow Fashionista S of Modern Guilt looks very Hitchcock chic! How film noir are the pose, her outfit and the setting?
How to get the look:
Think dramatic lips, demure jewels (a single strand of pearls, perhaps?), and ladylike, tailored clothing.

    Great ideas! The handbag and the cape are the better for me... Well, I, actually, gonna need some gloves, but I find those large ones kind of unconfortable to put on and take out... My "mom issues" I suppose ha ha ha!

    Love large bags but can't seen to carry them once they are filled with my stuff. My Hermes JPG is about 10 pounds once I am done filling it. It's quite a work out.

    I love the heroine chic look:) my fave is Grace Kelly, but I love Joan Fontaine in Rebecca- that movie isn't as much tuned to Hitch's aesthetics since David O Selznick (as in Gone With the Wind) produced it I believe.
