Houndstooth Redux: Scottish in origin [also called guncheck, dogtooth, or four-and-four check], this fabric is so named because its pattern is reminiscent of the jagged back teeth of a hound. The familiar print, which debuted on clothing in the 1930s, is now limited neither

i struggle with houndstooth just because SO MANY stores have super cheap versions of it- the only way I can wear it now is if it's made out of high quality material- or else i end up feeling like some skater girl with a hurley shirt. yuck.
