Daylight Saving Time: Look and Feel Fabulous!

Darlings, Sunday, November 2nd marks the end of Daylight Saving Time. Come 2:00 AM, we will turn our clocks back an hour. Although we gain this extra time, this also means shorter, colder, winter days, which will make us all want to spend more time sleeping.  See below for a few tips on how you can make sure you're getting the best night's sleep possible.

DE-STRESS AND UNWIND
It’s important to take time to unwind before bed to ease the mind because a consistent routine every day can help you fall asleep more quickly and reliably. Lighting an aromatic candle will help calm the nerves before bed.

NOURISH AND REGENERATE
While we sleep, the cells making up our skin are hard at work trying to repair all the damage that has been accumulated during the whole day overnight. This is the time to utilize nighttime skincare to help repair, nourish and regenerate.

THE PERFECT MATTRESS
People sleep for approximately one third of their lives and studies have shown the benefits of sleep have long-lasting effects on your health and well-being. Look for a mattress that has natural fibers such as hypoallergenic horsehair that acts as a mini ventilation system eliminating moisture and allowing fresh air in for a comfortable night’s rest.

  1. Hypoallergenic horsehair???! I had no idea this was something to look for in mattresses. I have a Black label beauty rest with pillow top that tempts me to stay in bed all day. I thought dropping over a couple of thousand on a bed was silly but my mom did it for me and it changed my life. My previous bed was very soft and under $1k but it was very soft in the wrong way. Now I sink in but have support and feel I go into REM sleep much more quickly. We spend so much time sleeping that the investment is totally worth it!

  3. Thanks for the heads up on the end of Daylight Savings time. I'll love the extra sleeping time in the morning but having it be dark before 5 PM not so much. I already have some problems with insomnia so your tips are welcomed by me. De-stress, nourish, regenerate, and good bedding it is! :)
