Can you guess what color CC is contemplating dying her currently blonde hair? What do you think, darlings: should CC join Coco and trade up for rubicund locks?
Also, speak up if you have copper, burgundy, or any other rosy shade of hair or highlights – do you love being a redhead?
CC appreciates the input as always, darlings!

  1. Hey Carrie. Wow! Those are some pictures. I remember I went through a phase where all I wanted to date was redheads. Heck, I even dyed my own hair. Don't ask. lol

  7. I must admit I do love red heads (my mom is a true one). I always wanted red hair but wouldn't die it. hope all is well CC! and you are right about the LES! I go there for friend's gigs on a Saturday and I feel like a frat house threw up all over Ludlow Street. BUT I am not going to hate because change is inevitable. I hope you are well!

  8. If I wasn't blonde, I would be a redhead. I'm too used to standing out with my blonde hair, so red is a good alternative. I could never go brunette.

I even had redhair in my grad picture in high school. It was an auburn though if I were to do that now, I would go for a vibrant dark red or strawberry blonde (my hair is bordering on that right now, might end up that way this summer).

BTW - my blog: spinning! Yes, I go to spinning class once a week, I used to go four times a week but the schedules for the classes are insane. I have to call at 6AM on the dot to reserve a bike because by 610 they are all gone and I don't like losing the hour and half of sleep just to call!

Also, I'm training for a 10K so spinning helps with the cross-training part of it but won't help me run.

In the future I'll probably just run for 40 minutes 3 x a week and spin once, call it a day!

have a good one - great post!

  19. I love red hair. My father is red-haired, but unfortunately my hair is not red..I've wanted natural red hair for all my life, and freckles, too.

I really like red Coco and Vlada:)

  20. I turned my blonde hair RED for awhile... it was FUN!!! I told hubby (then boyfriend) to call me Raven... Raven Red!!!
He liked it BUT when it was getting close to our wedding he asked me to go back to blonde... he said he met and fell in love with a blonde and he would like to marry one... sooooooo I went back to my blonde hair... I've never returned to red... YET!!!
ENJOY... go red... you can always go back!

  24. My friends with red hair love it, but I think it just depends on whether the color suits you or not. It is a bold shade, and most of the time, I think it looks gorgeous! It doesn't look natural on Coco, but she pulls it off so nicely, and it's great to see someone who is not dying their hair platnium blonde again (but, of course, I don't have a problem with it if it's natural or looks best).

    ReplyDelete
  25. If I didn't have to bleach my black hair out before dying it, I'd totally want to try being a redhead. I say go for it!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I love Coco Rocha's red hair!

  27. The red back to blonde process as I remember took a little work... I believe they dyed it a shade of brown... and then weaved blonde into it... it has been 16 years... it was MUCH EASIER going RED then going back to blonde... but it all worked out!

  32. I always hear how red is such a hard color to maintain and that it fades fast, but I have no personal experience.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I never used my hair red.. always brown and know with 2 different highlights tons - blond and caramel..

    ReplyDelete
  34. I really think this is Coco's best look! Even though it's rather bright in the first few photos, it looks like her natural hair color in the runway photo.

  41. Try it! But be prepared to be treated differently. I am told that red haired women get treated with an air of mystery.

  42. Hmmmm... didn't know, but maybe was because of that that I've made some nuances to start changing my black hair LOL

I'm so sure you would look gorgeous and fabulous as a redhead!!!!!

  45. Do it, do it, do it! I had a red afro just like the Iman pic you posted about 3 years ago. Loved it, but I will admit, it was expensive to maintain. I only kept it for about 6 months. But it was a red hott 6 months!

  65. haha, so if i went red last year ad black this year, does that mean I'm a trend starter, or waaaaay off in left field?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Red hair is way too difficult to maintain. The brightness of the red washes off after only one shower, and you get left with a vert dull looking orangy color, so you have to invest in quality color protecting products, and still visit your hairdresser every three weeks -- at least.

Also, the colors you can wear with red hair is very limited. Anything that's a little bright or colorful or patterned makes you look like a clown.

All in all, red hair is sexy and beautiful, but it's just too much work.
