  1. How weird is it that we hate people who combine their shoes w/ their bags, but in Alexander Wwang's case it looks brilliant! I think it's the structure of the shoes & the patterns that make the difference. Great post!

  2. Hi CC,

Congrats! You deserve the little award edited by me. :) (Unigue and Chic) I am glad that it expands in this manner (fellow fashionistas)! :) Haha! ;)

My fav japanese designer is Tsumori Chisato. I love tights. :)

  3. Woah, some of this matching is very intense, I like the shock value especially with the men's clothing!

  4. My favorite is Lanvin: sophisticated, not a bit "deja vu", and so so classy!

  5. I prefer the yellow collection. :-) I think fashion should be also beautiful (like all art), not just innovative. (Of course it's a matter of taste too...)

  6. I think it works on the runway but in real life... but I like the idea of matching shoes and bag, xoxo: MG

  12. Congrats on the awards, CC! I have a conspiracy theory about the resurgence of matchy-matchy: It's a tactic to get you to buy more during tough economic times, i.e. if you get the shoes, you have to have the matching bag. ;)

  16. I like to match and I also love to mismatch. The best is when you see someone pull of two different prints.

  17. thank you so much for the awards! these are my first! :D
i like the matchy matchy thing when it's matching a bag to something in your outfit but not when everything is matching (like with prints), but some of the models pull off the look pretty well! and oh nooo the narciso rodriguez cow print camoflague! hahaha :) even though i hate it, i bet it's going to be featured a lot in magazines, just because it's outlandish.

  18. p.s. i'm at school so i can't post the awards right now but i'll be posting them as soon as i can!

Tune into Tommorrows Post. <3

i'm so glad that is matching trend is now starting to cath on in a way. Mainly becasue I'm one of those people that somehow finds a way to buy matching items just becasue I love the one. I just hope the Narciso Rodriguez cow print doesn't catch on. :P

    Fantatic Post, as usual!

  27. L'Wren Scott = awesome. So Hitchcock heroine.

I totally try and match colours together - at least two items have to be anchors, whether it is purple shoes and a purple bag. White gloves and white scarf. Grey shoes and Grey top. That kinda thing.

I would love to go crazy one day this summer and wear a whole bunch of colours at once!

  30. Thanks again CC! The Lanvin dress and bag are so completely stunning. I also love the Wunderkind look. I am into matching, depending on color and print...it can go overboard. Alexander Wang and Custo Barcelona did some great matchy pieces this season as well.

  32. I'm all confused!!!!
I was loving not matching my shoes with my bag, now it's a must??
Sounds my mother "you have to have your bag n the same colour of your shoes!!!"

Well I think I'll coordinate sometimes (because I also like it) and other ones I'll clash ;)

    This is a great post.
And thank you lovely for the tips about legswear.

Oh and congrats on the awards, you s deserve them.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hey CC! I don't mind matching clothes and accessories in certain instances. It can be done brilliantly as shown by the looks you've posted here but other times, it can just fall flat.

Also, just to let you know, I'm having blog contest and the prize is a Rachel Leigh Sex and the City-inspired studded belt. Hope you'll check it out!

  57. Congrats on the award. I've only recently come across your blog, but I really like it a lot. You definitely deserve the award. As far as this post is concerned, I think it depends on the outfit on whether it's good to match the bag or not. Some of these look better than others. Have a great weekend.
