Argylicious!

Argyle is making a serious comeback! Once purely the domain of preppy socks and grandfatherly sweaters, the diamond pattern has crept onto dresses, shoes, even handbags! Runway photos courtesy style.com except where otherwise credited.

  5. I'm so glad you featured The Clothes Horse in this post because that's one of my fave looks of hers! Last week when the weather was colder I dug out a white, orange, and pink argyle sweater I'd bought last year (I have a picture of it here).

  6. I'm a little mixed on whether or not I like argyl, I think for me, I like it better when it's done in either an innovative way or a understated way such as the Balmain dress. It's not obvious in-your-face argyl and I like that! :)

  18. I had a love affair with argyle in high school. =D I still have my leftover 3/4 sleeve v-neck argyle sweater and my knee high argyle socks. I have some argyle tights from Saks but they're way too big! they bunch up and end up looking like pants. I think I might juts cut off the feet and wear them as pants. They're certainly opaque enough. =D

  29. I must say as much as I try to steer clear of argyle, I love it (moreso on women)as long as it doesn't get too preppy. Brooks Brothers is doing some amazing things in argyle.
