CC did a ruffle post awhile back, when it seemed that the feminine embellishment was a spring trend, but it seems that ruffles are here to stay, at least through the Autumn/Winter season... And we are pleased as punch! For fall, think sophisticated layers rather than naked mounds of ruffles. Throw a fitted jacket over that ruffled blouse or frock and you're good to go!

Gosh I'm in love with ruffles! The Luisa Beccaria dress is one of my favourites as is the Sari Gueron dress. Sadly, I don't own any ruffle-laden pieces so maybe some frilly undergarments would be a good start?

ReplyDeleteYay for ruffles! So fun and flirty hehe.
ReplyDeleteAnd I haven't heard of the show Privileged. Where does it play?
hey carrie! Fair enough. I'm very conventional mind you. I'm all for looking good but I'm very unadventurous when it comes to what I want to wear. that's why I'm looking at your blog religiously so I can broaden my somewhat limited taste. ^_^
ReplyDeleteNow more ruffles.
Elie Saab, Bill Blass, Givenchy... I will definitely go for them.
You have the best eye for trends! I always love every picture you select. i love the black and white runway dress, and I want every single top you've posted.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your advice. I was crazy dresser when I was a little younger, doing the ultra girly and the goth things, but now I crave youthful maturity, I'm so fed up of scenesters who don't shower!
Oh yes every gal needs some ruffles!
ReplyDeleteHey CC
ReplyDeleteThat Moschino dress is beyond divine!

ReplyDeleteI don't know about ruffles!! I love some of them but the most look so... like an UFO design!
ReplyDeleteWell, maybe it's because in a body like mine it's impossible to look like a human being with all those pieces of fabric over it! ha ha ha
Kiss!!
Simone

ReplyDeleteRuffles are such a structural yet femnine look. I pretty much like everything that you presented here. The Bill Blass and Givenchy are amazing pieces. The only thing that stands out as something I would not wear is that Thayer dress - I feel that I would look like a sausage in it!
