CC just adores it when models read backstage! Photos via nymag.com.
Anna Barsukova at Cynthia Steffe
Kinga Rajzak at Rick Owens.
Melody Woodin at Thakoon.
Myf Shepherd at PPQ.
Siri Tollerod at Christian Dior.
Tara Gill at Malo.
Taryn Davidson and Kori Richards at Donna Karan.
Yasmin Warsame at Cynthia Rowley.
Sometimes books even make their way onto the runway, as at Libertine, pictured via style.com.
And reading is always en Vogue! Italian Vogue, April 2006.
Italian Vogue, November 2002.
Australian Vogue, September 2008.
Speaking of good reads, what fashion tomes are at the top of your list? CC highly recommends Couture Culture by Nancy Troy.
This Balenciaga bible got 5 stars on amazon.com… Have any of CCs Fellow Fashionistas read it?
Anything in particular on your Summer Reading List?
xoxox,
CC
P.S. Be sure to visit CC tomorrow for a fabulous pop-up boutique with items such as: Chanel and Jean-Charles de Castebajac skirts; Lalique rings; and Sonia Rykiel and Prada belts, plus many more fabulous vintage and Designer items!

ReplyDeletecute photos! i love reading :)
ReplyDeleteMany models seem to be great readers.
ReplyDeleteBook is really treasure house of wisdom and humane, although reading needs much energy.
Haruki Murakami is genius!
My Jp favorite authors are Junichiro Tanizaki, Osamu Dazai and Banana Yshimoto, although.
However, sometimes i want to get the books just because of the cover's drawings.
Even if i can't read the languages in contents;D
CC - I checked out those Jacquard shorts FAB! I'm also eying the wallpaper jacquard dress ;) But I purchased a jacket instead, only because it was on sale.
ReplyDeleteCC, love this post so much!
ReplyDeleteAnd Myf Shepherd is a delight, love her to bits. Helps that she's reading such a great book.
As Macaron Treats shared the book she's reading, here's mine: Falling Man by Don DeLillo. What a fabulous book!
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend (and I totally understand the jeans moratorium ;)

I looooove reading. And I looooooove models. But my favorite models are those with a good head on their shoulders. Not like some who I see in interviews, and they sound like complete bimbos!
