Oh these are all lovely! What a fun cut. I especially like both the green and black ones at the end..especially the little pleating on the green one. xx
ReplyDeleteJ'adore the cocoon look. I have actually been on the hunt for the perfect cocoon cardigan. I found one at Urban Outfitters, but made the mistake of not buying it. Now I'm back to square one. :(

I need a new coat. Desperately. But I've been resisting fall for so long I can't bear to shop for one. It's like admitting defeat.

ReplyDeleteThat black coat up there reminds me of the movie To Kill A Mockingbird when Scout is wearing the giant ham. Lol. ;)

ReplyDeleteCocoon coats... this I heart no doubt. I just wish the weather in my side of the planet will permit me to wear this all year round. I think I have to move to Alaska perhaps. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, for the first time, I'm not really diggin it? :o Love the colors though!
ReplyDeletexxx

those are outta control, leather jackets are gonna be the way to go this fal
ReplyDeletefashionbyhe.blogspot.com
I like the last two ones!
ReplyDeleteSome of these looks are a tad outre for me. Perhaps growing up in too too cold a place has dampened my senses and ruined coats for me...
ReplyDeleteWith that said, darling, loving the DK and the Eileen Fisher. Both so wearable, and both designers that make me feel warm and loved...
Commence d'hiver!
The cocoon looks is so intersting to me. I love the idea of solid structure over delicate layers. The Viktor & Rolf look is absolutely breathtaking. The structure is flawless. I also love the Moschino look and the Stella McCartney piece.

ReplyDeleteOh my! The Viktor & Rolf is absolutely STUNNING! Love cocoon coats! I think I have at least three...
ReplyDeletexx

These are adorable! I'd love to see someone pull off a cocoon STRAIGHT from the runway ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the Viktor & Rolf one.
ReplyDeleteCocoon is a shape not very good to all shapes of bodies. I know I couldn't pull it of, unless it there's a belt.
Some stunning picks, CC
xoxo

ReplyDeleteI see these jackets everywhere on the runway for fall. The models can pull it off but I don't think I can. Great post, Carrie.

ReplyDeletei love the Black ... its lovely dear!!
Wow. I think the catwalk ones are a bit much for me, but the others are very nice. I definitetly need to think about buying one of these for winter.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous coats dear CC! I'm in love with the Viktor & Rolf coat especially... looks straight out of 'Blade Runner' doesn't it? Terribly glamorous.
ReplyDeleteTop is voluminous and bottom is thin!
ReplyDeleteThis opposite is beautiful.
I'm still obsessed with my ultrathin figure so I have a problem with this type of coats... I just like ponchos because they don't make you look fat !
ReplyDeleteThough V&R's one is perfect.
Like the Donna Karan coat and the Eileen Fisher cardigan, really stylish and easily wearable pieces. Love their colors and shapes as well.

I love a good cocoon coat, but I've observed that it looks best on a really skinny person as it tends to give a roundish shape to a person.
