Designers, perhaps unwittingly, provided plenty of fabulous dress-up options.

So darlings, what are you (or your kids) planning to dress up as this year? What was your fave Halloween costume of all time? CC must admit, she has the Sarah Palin suit and glasses all ready...
the credit card dress is hilarious..
ReplyDeletei love how all of these looks take normal costumes that are typically more sexual and make them creative and beautiful! i love the french maid...looks nothing like the little number i wore in college :)
ReplyDeleteLove-love-love this post!! I want to be Hula girl or big bird. :-)
ReplyDeletewLove the Greek Goddess inspiration! Perfect - I'm going as Cleopatra and in the midst of making my dress!
ReplyDeleteI really like your blog and wanted to say I'm adding you to my blog roll. Hope you don't mind. :D
ReplyDeleteps: I love that pink hair. I want pink hair someday!

But such a volume of clothes to choose from. I'm certainly swinging towards the credit card!

ReplyDeletelove the batgirl!
This was such an awesome post! I'm really geared up for Halloween.
ReplyDeleteAs for costume, my boyfriend and I are being The White Stripes this year. I'll be making my Meg White half of the deal a little sexier, white skirt, red American Apparel ruched front bra and a white zip up over that.
AMAZING!!!
ReplyDeletehahahahaha, perfect.
this post was so creative! great job. oh, and in my first entry for my blogspot i mention redcarpetfashionawards as one of my favorite fashion blogs, yours is one of my favorites as well (honestly, i'm not sucking up). before i commented you from my livejournal (dorqq) but now i can comment from my blogspot (www.fashionforwarddd.blogspot.com).
ReplyDeletewe don't have Halloween in South Africa ! Well it is somewhat recognized, but no one dresses up. crazytown.

ReplyDeletehhhaaa with the big bird dress. gucci made a yellow fur jacket years ago with the same big bird idea. while my friends were on the floor rolling with laughter, the sa was telling me with a straight face how great i looked.

ReplyDeletei thoroughly enjoyed the credit card though haha.
There are some looks very funny!
ReplyDeleteThis has been utterly entertaining, CC. I'm with you on 'office' outfit but I went crazy today wearing a pair if skin tight jeans with high heel sandals.. scandalous.
ReplyDeletehwahaha...loving this post CC. I don't mind being the Chiquita Banana this year... Damn Pineapples costume last year was a disaster! I got splinters all over my body! ;)
ReplyDeleteall of your choices are genius! Especially the big bird ensemble, i couldn't stop laughing, however, i wouldn't mind dressing up as a princess, that dress is very strange yet interesting =]
ReplyDeleteLove the sexy flapper! I will be a flapper this year as I am every year.
ReplyDeletewhat a cute post!!! i'm going as an old fashioned harlequin clown a la goldfrapp! that is if i get around to sewing my costume. . .
ReplyDeleteI wanna be a SuperHero! Nice outfits!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Isa
Oh these costumes (or outfits really) were so fun to look at! And I don't really celebrate Halloween but I do love costume parties! Next time I attend one I think I'll finally cave and be Galadriel from Lord of the Rings: http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk270/susannacole/fotr25.jpg (well you've probably seen the movie, so you know what I'm talking about, but included a picture, just in case ;)) because ever since the movies, I often have people go, "You know... you really look like a elf from Lord of The Rings!" I think it's the super fair skin and long blonde hair and what not... but anyway, would be a pretty easy look to do! :)
ReplyDeleteOk wow, rambling here aren't I? ;)
Thanks for your sweet comment! :)
xoxo,
S-C
Harharharhar! you're crazy, you know that! hmm... tough choices..
ReplyDeletethe credit card is very tempting..
but i think i'd do the pirate! that sounded dirty! haha! i want the pirate hat!
haha credit card is hilarious...I should SO do that!
ReplyDeleteI'll probably end up as a vampire...I do vampire every ear for Hallowe'en...what can I say, I'm boring :)
haha!!! i love these ideas! it's going to be a very fashionable halloween!
ReplyDeletePure greatness.
ReplyDeleteYour post of the month!

ReplyDeletethese runway costume inspirations are whoa! nice blogbtw!! wanna trade links?
ReplyDeletethat vuitton maribou dress is gorgeous! also ive never been a massive matthew williamson fan but im liking that black pvc!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! My plan is to dress up as a little girl from the 60s or 70's and dress my one year old daughter up as my Holly Hobby doll :)
ReplyDeleteMy mom made me a pretty cool Raggedy Ann costume when I was about 5, also one of my favorites was when I dressed up as the Daryl Hannah character in Kill Bill with the nurse uniform and the eye patch.
Costumes are always fun and exciting ... so I suppose that's a positive to see them on the runway :)
ReplyDeleteThe Dominatrix and the Hula Girl ae my fave ones ahah!
ReplyDeleteFascinating Outfits their all so gorgeous.
ReplyDeletesweet post.
Good info on costumes inspiration. I was so pleased to find this information today!
ReplyDeleteGreat!
ReplyDeleteLoved the schoolgirl lookl but my favourite was Paul Smith, He's fantastic, and (if he's telling the truth) My stepdad used to own a clothing shop just over the road from him and they were friends! But if that's true, who knows!?
Great post, loved it! :)
